Ventral stereotaxic coordinates have to be recalculated with respect to the open length of the cOFM guide and the spatial distribution (size and form) of the region of interest. The shaft length has to be chosen so that the open length is inside or immediately adjacent to the region of interest after implantation of cOFM guide.
